Terms, Privacy, and Refunds

Terms

CustomCheers (customcheers.com) is operated by Alteck, Inc., based in Lincoln, California (“we” or “us”). By using the site or buying a puzzle, you agree to these terms.

You are buying a custom printable game, such as a crossword puzzle or a shower quiz, delivered as a printable PDF with an answer key, for your personal use. The price is the one shown on the game's page and at checkout, in US dollars, paid once. Your game is delivered right away on screen and by email.

You are responsible for the names, questions, answers, and details you enter. Please include only things you have the right to share. The game's text (crossword clues, quiz questions and choices) is written by an AI model from the questions, answers, and details you give us, and you can edit every word of it. Check everything before you buy: your game prints exactly as shown in your preview.

The site and your puzzle are provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your puzzle.

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies to purchases made while it is posted. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Privacy

What we collect: your email address; the puzzle details you enter (names, questions, answers, details, clues); a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to limit how often clues can be written; which ad or search brought you to the site, if any; and your IP address, browser type, and Meta cookie values when you start a puzzle (sent to Meta, not stored) and when you start checkout (kept only until we report the purchase to Meta; see Ads measurement). Stripe handles payment. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it: to build your puzzle, deliver it by email, answer your questions, and measure our ads. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email.

Ads measurement: we use the Meta pixel, a small piece of code from Meta, and its cookies to measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to puzzles and purchases. It tells Meta the addresses of the pages you view. When you start a puzzle, we tell Meta a puzzle was started, with your IP address, browser type, and the Meta cookie values. When you buy, we also send the purchase value and your email address in hashed form (a one-way code, never the address itself). We never send Meta your puzzle, names, or answers. We also keep a small cookie of our own that notes which ad or search brought you here (for example, "facebook" or "google"); it is saved with your puzzle so we can tell which ads work, and it holds nothing personal. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.

Who helps us: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and file storage), Resend (email), Anthropic (clue writing; the questions, answers, and details you enter are sent to write your clues), Meta (ads measurement), and Vercel (hosting).

Your draft link: anyone with the link to your draft can see and edit it. Keep it private.

How long we keep it: we keep your puzzle and order details so you can download your puzzle again, so we can answer your questions, and for our business records. If you start a puzzle and don't buy it, the draft is still saved.

Your choices: wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@customcheers.com. We delete it within 30 days, except what we must keep for tax and accounting records.

This site is not meant for children under 13.

Refunds

All sales are final. Your puzzle is made from the details you enter and delivered as soon as you pay, and you confirm the spelling before checkout, so we can't offer refunds or changes after purchase. If a file won't open or print, email hello@customcheers.com and we'll make sure you get a working file. If you were charged twice or by mistake, we'll refund the extra charge.
